International Tour of North Cyprus is organized every year in February in order to contribute to the development of cycling sport in the TRNC, encourage active and healthy life, to spread the use of bicycles and to launch bicycle tourism in Cyprus under the auspices of the Sports Department of North Cyprus and in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and other sponsors.

The race takes place in Northern part of the Island of Cyprus with a surface area of 3,355 square kilometers and a population of approximately 315,000. Every year the island attracts millions of tourists because of its large and high quality hotels, sandy beaches and dashy casinos in every season. The capital Nicosia with a population of 45 thousand is the biggest city, however Kyrenia is the most touristic city with its historical harbour and castle. The average weather and sea temperature during whole year is 19o degrees. You will fall in love with the Mediterranean Sea, Beşparmak Mountains, green nature and small, historical villages.

Hundreds of cyclists enjoy the green nature of the Mediterranean and history of Cyprus with a race full of spectacular views. The participants welcome the new cycling season together in the bike-friendly hotels of our warm, sunny Island. Not only pre-race surprises are planned, but also after parties following the technical meeting, registration and the races.

On the last day of the Tour after 2 stages, there is a Criterium Race which increases the excitement and attracts cycling fans of the island. Professional cyclists who pass through different cities of North Cyprus finish the stages in the magnificent city of Nicosia, capital of Cyprus. All the cycling enthusiasts are welcome to this exciting event.

A total of 18 teams and about 300 hundred athletes from all around the world took part in the 3rd International Cycling Tour of North Cyprus on 9 - 11 February 2018.
